We are looking for an experienced building manager to join our team!
As the building manager you will be responsible for co-ordinating and managing arrangements within the centre on a day-to-day basis to ensure the smooth running of the building. You will act as a central point of contact for all tenants, building users, contractors and the Landlord, and will ensure that the SBFM cleaning team carry out their tasks to the highest standards.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Representation & Decision-Making: Act as a professional representative of SBFM, balancing the interests of the landlord and tenant leaseholders in daily building management. Empowered to make site-related decisions within agreed boundaries.
- Facilities & Building Services: Oversee the delivery of facilities and building services for a multi-occupancy building, ensuring smooth operations.
- Stakeholder Relations: Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers and contractors.

Cleaning Standards: Conduct regular checks on cleaning team standards, including monthly stock checks and ordering when necessary. Ensure attendance and cleanliness standards are maintained.

Correspondence Management: Manage incoming correspondence, telephone calls, emails, and recorded deliveries promptly and professionally.

Contractor Oversight: Oversee all contractors and liaise with the landlord and tenants regarding service contracts as required.
- Health & Safety: Take responsibility for health and safety issues, ensuring the safety and well-being of all staff, visitors, and patients using the facilities. Ensure regular fire training is carried out and that the fire alarm is tested weekly, with up-to-date records kept on-site.

Inductions: Conduct building and health & safety inductions for staff, work-related visitors, and contractors.

Regular Checks: Carry out weekly checks on water, lighting and equipment and report any anomalies using the client helpdesk portal.
