Bid Manager

Due to SBFM’s continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Bid Manager to join our team.

As a Bid Manager, you will manage the bid cycle from opportunity identification through bid production to submission.

The successful candidate will have excellent writing and evaluation skills, being able to produce compelling copy for bids and support other team members to produce high quality bid documents.

The role will involve:

• Monitoring and evaluating new opportunities
• Supporting the bid / no bid process
• Producing high quality bid documents including writing and editing raw copy
• Completing and managing bid responses and submissions at all stages, including PQQs up to BAFO
• Working closely with the sales team throughout the bid cycle
• Liaising with the wider business
• Supporting the wider bid team with submissions

The successful candidate will have:

• Experience in a similar role, preferably within FM 
• Effective organisational skills and be able to meet deadlines
• Ability to work effectively under pressure
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Effective questioning skills
• Experience of procurement portals
• Excellent attention to detail
• High level of IT literacy, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Flexibility towards working hours, where required
