About The Role

Due to our continued growth, we now have an exciting opportunity for a Handyperson to join our business. We have numerous locations throughout towns and cities within the UK.

In the role of Handy Person, you will be provided with a Van and all of the tools required to carry out your role to the highest standard. You will be responsible for coverage of between 15 - 20 sites, ensuring that they are well maintained and any issues or site concerns are handled swiftly. 
 
You will work closely with our extended maintenance team who are qualified to deliver specialised works e.g. Plumbing and Electrical. 
 
The successful candidate will be competent and experienced in generalised site maintenance, preferably within a commercial setting.   

The role of Handy person will cover the following aspects of site maintenance, working within a gym setting:

  • Replacement and fitting carpet flooring tiles
  • Replacement and fitting ceiling tiles below 3 metres 
  • Painting throughout the premises 
  • Small wall repairs max 1m x 1m
  • Maintenance, repair and/or replacement of hair and hand driers
  • Maintenance and repair of water fountain taps 
  • Mounting of noticeboards under 2m x 2m
  • Installation of soap, hand and toilet roll dispensers 
  • Replacement of light bulbs up to 3m 
  • Maintenance, repair or replacement of toilet flushes 
  • Installation of hand rails 
  • Maintenance, repair or replacement of locks on lockers, toilets and showers
  • Maintenance, repair or replacement of stair nosing
  • Application and replacement of silicone on sinks, basins, toilets and water fountains 

The Candidate:

  • Experience of working within generalised commercial property maintenance
  • A full UK drivers licence 
  • An enthusiastic energetic team player with a can do attitude
  • Able to prioritise own workloads 
  • Produces work to a high standard and meet deadlines
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Polite and courteous to all staff and customers
